Glossary

Wiser Check: The factual price label on every deal. A SQL rule compares today's price with the listing's own 90-day history and gives one of seven labels.
30-day low: The lowest daily closing price we recorded for this listing in the last 30 days, with the date it happened.
90-day typical: The median of the listing's daily prices over the last 90 days: what it usually costs, ignoring one-day spikes and dips.
True cost: Listed price + shipping − shop voucher − platform voucher − coins − card or e-wallet cashback. Every term that does not come from a platform API is an estimate: confirm at checkout.
Wiser Score: Our 0–10 verdict: 10 × (0.30 price + 0.20 availability + 0.25 quality + 0.10 service + 0.15 fine print), set by a human editor and capped by the Wiser Check. Community votes are never blended in.
Worth it / Not worth it: The community vote on every product and deal, from the site, Telegram and WhatsApp. The percentage always shows its vote count and sits beside the score, never inside it.
"Was" price: The crossed-out price a seller shows next to a discount. We check whether that price actually appeared in our tracking of the same listing.
Official store / authorised seller: Official = the brand's own store on the platform. Authorised = a reseller the brand lists as authorised. Everything else is a marketplace seller, which caps the Wiser Score in risky categories.
Wiser Alerts: Price alerts on Telegram (WhatsApp later): tap "Track this price" on a product and the bot messages you when the label turns green.
You Pick, We Test: The monthly review vote: readers nominate and vote in three price bands, we buy the winners with our own money, test them and publish.
Wiser Drop: Where our used review units go afterwards: listed at 70% of the new true cost, falling 5 points a day to a 40% floor, claimed on Telegram, settled off-site.
Wiser Audit: Our report after each mega sale: how many tracked listings had a real discount, a smaller one than claimed, or a price that rose first, with charts and a CSV of the aggregate figures.
Wiser Kakis: The community: readers who submit deals, vote and dispute verdicts. A deal you found carries "Found by @you" on every post.
Sponsored: A brand paid for placement. The unit is labelled, the Wiser Check still runs, the score is set independently, and at most 1 post in 5 is sponsored.
